Bellevue police told reporters during a recent briefing Julia Biryukova’s story, the mother of a missing 2-year old Redmond boy, appears suspicious. Biryukova told police she ran out of gas while driving her son to a Bellevue hospital. She claims she and her 4-year old daughter walked to a gas station a mile away leaving her son sleeping in his car seat. She told police when she returned her son was gone. She has also refused to take a polygraph test. Solomon Metalwala, her estranged husband has cooperated fully. According to his attorney, the couple was involved in a custody battle and had recently come to a tentative agreement that would allow Metalwala to have visitation with both children. CPS will conduct background checks on Metalwala’s family members to see if placement with a relative is suitable. Get the full article here.
